One boat.
One trip. Start there.
See how CharterOsprey fits the way you run your charters. Set up a small example, check it from a guest’s point of view, and come back to your saved workspace.
A small, useful first run.
Have a boat name, guest capacity, departure marina, one trip price, and a departure time in mind. You can adjust them later.
When the site says “Software preview”
You are exploring a saved evaluation workspace. Live customer checkout, subscription charges, emails, and texts are disabled. Use sample guest details when testing. This is not a way to accept a real reservation.
Create your account and save your password. Password reset emails are also disabled during evaluation. Your workspace address identifies your charter site; it does not make the site public on its own.
In Captain setup, choose the Save button on each form before moving on. After saving, refresh the page to confirm your details are still there. “Continue” moves to the next step; it does not save unfinished edits.
Put a boat on the calendar.
- In Captain setup → Business, enter the business contact details and choose Save business.
- Open Boat. Replace the starter name, set the guest capacity, and add the departure marina and address.
- Choose Save & activate boat. A ready check confirms that the setup requirement is complete.
Activating a boat makes it available in your workspace. Publishing the customer site is a separate step.
Open captain setup ↗Make the offer clear.
- Open Trips in Captain setup. Name one private charter, enter its total price and deposit, and describe what guests should expect. The deposit cannot exceed the trip total.
- Choose Save & activate trip. Open Manage all trips to check the duration, passenger limit, and boat assignment.
- Open Schedule and choose Edit departure times & booking rules. Enter departure times in 24-hour format, such as 06:00, 12:00, and check the season and booking lead time. Add blackouts for days you will not run.
The first setup form starts with a private charter. To try individual seats, add a walk-on trip and a departure in Charter operations. Keep these as example trips while you evaluate.
Open boats & trips ↗Read it like a customer.
- In Brand, open Edit website. Review the home page, privacy page, and booking terms. Replace placeholder details and use photos you have permission to publish.
- Go to Launch and choose Run configuration test. Follow any remaining setup checks. In evaluation mode, email verification, subscription billing, and payment connection are optional.
- When ready, choose Publish preview site in evaluation mode and then Open preview site. Publishing makes that preview accessible to anyone with its address. Checkout remains disabled.
On a phone, check the boat name, marina, trip description, price, and available dates. Can a guest tell where to go, what the trip includes, and how long it lasts? Return to Captain setup and Unpublish when you want the site private again.
The configuration test checks your saved setup. It does not prove a live card charge, email, or text has worked.
Decide whether it fits.
Try the calendar and add a sample booking from Charter operations. Think through a private trip, an individual seat, and a day you need to block off. Write down anything that makes those jobs harder than your current process.
Keep real reservations in your existing system while this workspace is in evaluation mode. Going live requires the service to be enabled for live operation, verified owner access, a current trial or subscription, a connected payment account, and completed setup checks. Connecting a payment account alone does not switch a preview to live.

My changes disappeared when I moved to another step.
Use the form’s Save button and wait for the saved confirmation before choosing Continue. Switching steps does not save edits. Return to that step, save again, and refresh to check the result.
I cannot see the trip on the booking page.
Confirm that both the trip and its assigned boat are active. Check departure times, season, booking lead time, and blackouts. The customer site must also be published. Captain setup lists any missing configuration.
Checkout or a message will not go through.
Check the banner at the top of the page. In evaluation mode, real checkout, emails, and texts are intentionally disabled. You can review prices and message templates, but there is no live charge or delivery.
I need to sign in again.
Use the email address and password you chose at signup on the captain sign-in page. Evaluation mode does not send password reset emails, so keep your password saved before signing out.
For an unresolved issue, note the page, the action you took, and the exact error. Keep passwords and guest information out of screenshots.
